Dr. Paul E King, CEO and President
Dr. King is a highly focused and well-respected professional with a track record of producing winning results in technology development and deployment. He is a global leader throughout the R&D arena in energy systems and has founded or co-founded 8 startups since 2015. As the founder and CEO of Ampere Scientific, his responsibilities include leading the strategic, financial, operational and technical aspects of all Ampere Scientific product lines.
Dr. Matthew Cibula, Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Cibula is responsible for AmpSci technical execution, including product design, development, validation and manufacturing. Dr. Cibula developed VARmetric 1.0 and continues to lead development of the VARmetric™, ESRmetric™, and ARControl™ technologies. Dr. Cibula was hired as Ampere Scientific’s first key employee and is now the Chief Technology Officer in charge of all of our product lines. He directs a team of scientists, engineers, and technicians to successfully transition our technologies to full-scale commercial systems. Additionally, Dr. Cibula holds a pivotal role executing on several R&D grants focused on cutting-edge metals processing improvements, including arc gap tracking, arc gap measurement, and the groundbreaking ESRmetric™ and ARControl™ systems.
Mr. Josh Motley, M.S., VP of Computational Sciences
Mr. Motley is the department head for all computational studies performed within Ampere Scientific to include electromagnetic, fluid flow and solidification simulations. He has experience in experimental design and has been instrumental in assembling laboratory test apparatus for internal and external research. He frequently serves as PI for funded studies advancing the Vacuum Arc Control technology. Mr. Motley has been with Ampere Scientific for more than seven years as a Project Engineer where previous responsibilities included technical execution of design and validation of ARControl™ components and electrical design of VARmetric™ components.
Mr. Nathan Pettinger, VP Sales
Part of the Ampere team since 2018, Mr. Pettinger manages sales, customer relations, and product installation, which includes management of mechanical design and fabrication. He has over a decade of experience in industrial design and manufacturing, and project management. Prior to being hired by Ampere Scientific, he had gained valuable experience in industrial manufacturing in a number of commercial, strengthening his skills. Additionally, Mr. Pettinger has a key role in the industrialization of Ampere Scientific’s products, including VARmetric™ and ARControl™ through implementation of customer feedback.
